Rebirth Guide: Reset, Multipliers and Timing - Anime Dice Wiki
The permanent multiplier system, what it keeps, and the simple rule that stops you losing cash to the reset.
Overview
Rebirth is the prestige system, trading your entire cash balance for permanent cash and Luck multipliers. It is the standard route to affording higher dice tiers and improving your odds at rare pulls, since multipliers stack across every rebirth. This page covers what survives, the requirement, and the timing rule. See the Luck guide.
Rebirth Explained
The video below covers new update units and progression at real speed, which shows how quickly balances grow after a rebirth multiplier lands. Watch for the moment the player's income rate jumps after rebirthing, then compare with the timing rule in our upgrade priority guide.
What Survives a Rebirth
The most common reason players delay rebirthing is a mistaken belief that they will lose progress. They will not, and the table below makes that explicit. Compare it with the grades guide to see why Gems and trait rerolls surviving matters so much for long-term value.
| Element | Survives? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cash balance | No | Reset to zero, excess is deleted |
| Units | Yes | Keep collecting from placed units |
| Gems | Yes | Grade rerolls unaffected |
| Trait rerolls | Yes | Modifier supply unaffected |
| Dice | Yes | Including your highest Luck dice |
| Upgrades | Yes | The entire upgrade tree is preserved |
How to Perform a Rebirth
The mechanics take a few seconds, but the decision around them is where players lose value. Because the reset deletes everything above the threshold rather than banking it, the correct behaviour is to rebirth as soon as the bar fills. The tower guide covers the parallel progression branch.
Open the Rebirth Menu
The rebirth icon sits on screen between the shop and index buttons. Opening it shows the current requirement and a bar indicating whether you have enough cash.
Check the Bar Is Full
The bar filling means you have met the cash requirement for the next rebirth. There is no benefit to accumulating more than the requirement before confirming.
Press Rebirth
Confirm and your cash drops to zero while your cash and Luck multipliers increase permanently. No units, dice or upgrades are affected by the reset.
Rebuild From Placed Units
Earn fresh currency by collecting from the units already placed on your pads. Because nothing was lost, the rebuild starts from a strictly better position than before.
Why Rebirth Multipliers Matter
The reason rebirths dominate long-term progression is that they multiply everything rather than adding to it. Each one improves both the cash your units generate and the pool your rolls draw from, and neither bonus is affected by later resets, as the dice list shows for the top tiers.
Permanent
Multipliers persist across every future rebirth you perform.
Cash Multiplier
Every placed unit generates more after each rebirth.
Luck Multiplier
Improves the rarity pool behind all of your future rolls.
Stacks
Combines with dice Luck and upgrade-tree Luck nodes.
Funds Top Dice
The standard route to sextillion-priced dice tiers.
Low Risk
Costs only cash, which you can rebuild from placed units.
Timing Your Rebirths
The timing rule is simple: rebirth the moment the bar fills, unless you are a small amount away from a purchase you have already decided you need. Saving past that point produces nothing, because the excess is destroyed rather than carried into the next cycle. See the money guide.
This applies at every stage. In the early game a rebirth may cost fifty thousand cash, and later ones require vastly more, but the underlying logic never changes. Our money guide covers rebuilding your balance quickly after each reset so the cycle stays short.
Common Rebirth Mistakes
Almost every rebirth error is a misunderstanding of what resets rather than a mechanical slip. The list below covers the cases that come up repeatedly, and the tips guide covers the related inventory mistakes that quietly cost income between resets.
- Delaying a rebirth to save cash that will be deleted anyway
- Believing units or upgrades are lost in the reset
- Spending the whole balance on dice instead of rebirthing
- Ignoring the Luck multiplier and focusing only on cash
- Failing to refill pads before logging off after a reset
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a rebirth reset?
Only your cash balance. Units, Gems, Trait Rerolls, dice and every upgrade you have purchased all survive the reset, so the permanent multiplier you gain carries no real cost beyond rebuilding currency.
How much cash do I need for the first rebirth?
The first rebirth requires a modest fifty thousand cash. Later rebirths have progressively higher requirements, and the current figure is always shown in the rebirth menu along with a bar indicating your progress toward it.
Do I lose my units when rebirthing?
No. Units are completely unaffected, and they keep generating cash from the pads they occupy. That is why you can rebuild your balance quickly after a reset by simply collecting from what is already placed.
Is rebirthing worth it?
Yes, it is the core progression mechanic. Each rebirth permanently raises both your cash multiplier and your Luck multiplier, and the improved Luck is the standard route to rolling higher rarity units such as Mythic and secret tiers.
Should I save cash before rebirthing?
Only if you are a small amount away from a purchase you have already decided you need. Otherwise rebirth the moment the bar fills, because any cash above the requirement is deleted on reset rather than carried forward to the next cycle.
Can I skip a rebirth?
No. Unlike many similar Roblox experiences, there is no skip option. You either meet the cash requirement and rebirth, or continue earning and upgrade your plot in the meantime, but the mechanic itself cannot be bypassed.
Do rebirth multipliers stack with everything else?
Yes. Rebirth cash and Luck multipliers apply on top of your dice Luck and your upgrade-tree nodes, which is why they are considered the strongest long-term lever in the game rather than a one-time bonus.
