Overview

Grades are the second rerollable system, and unlike traits they affect income only. That narrow focus makes them the most efficient lever on raw cash per second. Nine tiers run from D up to Z+, and the odds for each appear in the grades table below.

Total Grades:9 (D to Z+)
Per Unit:One at a time
Stat Affected:Income only
Reroll Item:Gems

Chasing the Top Grade

The video below covers rainbow grades and high-value dice upgrades at real speed, which shows how rarely the top tiers appear. That context matters before you spend a large stock of Gems, and it pairs with the odds table in our reroll guide.

All Grades, Multipliers and Odds

The table below lists every grade with its income multiplier and reported roll chance. Note how steeply the odds tighten as the multiplier rises, which explains why most reroll sessions end at the middle tiers. The best traits guide covers the parallel trait system.

GradeIncome MultiplierRoll Chance
Z+25x0.007%
Z15x0.007%
S+10x0.01%
S7x0.089%
A+4.5x2.9%
A3x7.9%
B1.6x14.9%
C1.2x27.9%
D1.1x44.9%
Z+ gives a very large multiplier at a roll chance of well under one percent. Treat it as a long-term target, not a realistic expectation.

How to Reroll a Grade

Grade rerolling happens at the hub rather than from your inventory, and it consumes a Gem each time. The process is quick once you know it, but the spending decision around it matters more than the mechanics. Our trait rerolls guide covers the equivalent logic for the other reroll system.

1

Teleport to the Hub

The Grades station is located in the hub rather than on your plot, so you need to travel there before you can access the menu at all.

2

Open the Grades Menu

Approach the station and open the interface. The plus icon is where you select which unit you want to assign a new grade to.

3

Select Your Top Earner

Choose the unit producing the most cash per second rather than the one with the best artwork. Grade returns scale with the base value underneath.

4

Spend a Gem and Reroll

Confirm the reroll and the game assigns one random grade from the table. There is no partial result and no way to undo the outcome.

Gems are the only currency that works here, and they come mainly from daily rewards and tower waves. Do not reroll a unit you are about to sell.

Where Gems Come From

Gem supply is the real constraint on grade progression rather than the reroll mechanics. There are only a few reliable sources, each worth building into a routine. The tower guide covers wave rewards in more detail, and the codes page tracks code-granted Gems.

Daily Rewards

A free source of Gems available every day without combat.

Tower Waves

Clearing enemy waves is the main repeatable Gem income.

Active Codes

Several current codes award Gems directly.

Spend on One Unit

Concentrate Gems on your highest earner for the best return.

Gems are exclusively required for grade changes, which makes tower waves and daily rewards more valuable than they first appear.

How Grades Interact With Traits

Grade and trait multipliers apply on top of each other, so a unit with both a strong trait and a high grade sits far above its base rarity suggests. That combination makes a well-built mid-rarity character competitive with an unmodified higher one. The best traits guide covers pairing.

The efficient order is to secure a decent trait first, then push the grade. Trait rerolls have a lower ceiling in effort terms because the all-round tiers are rare, but a grade session can be repeated as long as you have Gems. Our unit tier list ranks units by their final potential.

Grade Mistakes to Avoid

The errors below all waste Gems, which are harder to replace than cash. None of them is recoverable once the reroll resolves, so it is worth reading once and then treating as settled. The tips guide covers the wider set of habits that prevent waste.

  • Rerolling a unit you plan to sell or replace
  • Spreading Gems across several weak units evenly
  • Expecting a top tier from a small number of rerolls
  • Ignoring the grade on your current top earner
  • Rerolling before checking how much income the unit produces
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best grade in the game?

Z+ is the ceiling, giving a twenty-five times income multiplier. Its roll chance is extremely low, so most players realistically land somewhere in the middle tiers and should treat the top grades as long-term targets.

How many grades are there?

Nine tiers run from D up to Z+. Each unit can hold exactly one grade at a time, so a reroll always overwrites whatever was there before, with no way to restore the previous result.

What item do I need to reroll a grade?

Gems, which are used exclusively for grade changes. They come from the daily rewards menu, from clearing enemy waves in the tower challenge, and from several active codes that award them directly.

Do grades affect damage or health?

No. A grade raises the income multiplier only, with no effect on damage or health. That makes grades ideal for your best plot earner and irrelevant for a unit you only bring to tower floors.

Should I grade low-rarity units?

Generally no. Gem supply is limited, and the return scales with the unit's base value, so grading your top earner first produces more per Gem spent. Grade cheaper units only after your best performer is handled.

Why do my grade rerolls keep landing low?

Because the low tiers hold most of the probability mass. Around three quarters of rerolls produce a C or D, and the top four grades together account for well under one percent of outcomes, so poor streaks are statistically normal rather than unlucky.

Do grades stack with traits?

Yes, and they multiply rather than add. A unit with a strong trait and a high grade occupies the top of the practical ladder regardless of its base rarity, which is why both systems are worth investing in on the same character.
